It is with profound sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Margaret "Peggy" Wood; A cherished wife, mother, grandmother, and sister, on June 21, 2026. She was survived by her devoted husband, Richard, and three children: Ron, Mandy, and Lisa.
Born July 7, 1940, in Oakland, California, Peggy was the treasured daughter of Clarence and Josephine DuPriest.
Peggy met the love of her life, Richard, in high school, and were married August 2, 1957. Their union was a testament to love and partnership, building a life over 69 years of marriage.
Peggy drew immense joy from her life as a homemaker with an unwavering dedication to her family. She was blessed with her three children, five grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren.
Her affinity for reading was something she carried late in life, along with an avid enthusiasm for daily walks with her husband and beloved dogs, Buddy and Annie.
She was a woman known for her devotion to God, her nurturing care of her children and grandchildren, and an unwavering spirit.
