

Born on June 23, 1922 in Ansted, WV.On July 21, 2011 she went home to bewith Jesus and her beloved "Gene", whohas been waiting for her since December2009. In 1944, she served her country byenlisting in the WAVES during WWII. Shewas stationed in Norfolk, VA, where shemet a young sailor. On February 25, 1946,Gene and Margie began their 64 yearjourney together as a married couple.She was a wonderful mother to Nancy(Ken), Mary (Allan), Diane (Gary);grandmother to Carrie, Brent (Bethany),Joshua (Ericka), Ryan (Amber), Kurt,Randi, Erik; great-grandmother to Mer-cedes, Briana, Caleb, Kayla, Ethan, JoshuaJr., Marcus, Emily, and Mary.The majority of her career was inFederal Service. Margie retired as Ad-ministrative Aide for Social Security in1985. She enjoyed her retirement yearsby being involved at First Baptist Churchin Hemet, NARFE (National Active andRetired Federal Employees Association),traveling the US, and spending time withfamily and friends. Margie dearly lovedGod, her growing family, and birthplacein WV. She will forever be rememberedfor her witty tongue, passion to playScrabble and crosswords, and a young-at-heart grandma and great-grandma(Mamaw).On Friday, July 29th, the viewing will be held at McWane’s at 8 a.m.; burial willtake place at Riverside National Cemeteryat 10:30 a.m.; and services will be held atFirst Baptist Church in Hemet, CA at 1:30p.m.
