Maria Socorro Alvarez, age 53, of Hemet, CA, passed away Monday, August 21, 2017. Socorro is how everyone knew her by. She was born June 8, 1964 in Yahualica, Jalisco Mexico. She was the daughter of the late Ricardo Gomez and the late Magdalena Mercado de Gomez. Socorro worked at Sears in Hemet as a sales associate for over 25 years. She was a member of the Our Lady of the Valley Catholic Church. Socorro was preceded in death by her parents and her brother Jesus Gomez.
She is survived by her children Ana M. Alvarez, Fernando Alvarez, five sisters, Francisca Ahumada, Catalina Garcia, Felicitas Ramirez, Beatriz Di Carlo, Margarita Leal, one brother Nicolas Gomez, two granddaughters Cailyn Copp & Alina Copp and many nieces and nephews.
Her family has asked that attire and any flowers purchased in Socorro's honor be white and/ or pink.
