She was born on Sunday, February 17, 1929 in Chicago, Illinois to the late Paul David and Johanna Schmid. Marion attended high school in Chicago, and shortly thereafter married the love of her life, Richard Hubenet in 1949. While she was blessed to be able to stay home and take care of their four children, Marion also volunteered in the school and for local organizations, and later assisted Richard with secretarial and hospitality obligations for the homeowner's association's board, which Richard was president of. Marion enjoyed family trips flying to Hawaii, and also to Chicago where her family lived. Her favorite pastime was going to Soboba Casino in hopes of winning big. She also enjoyed going out to lunch with neighborhood friends, and watching the darling favorite of many, "Shirley Temple," as she starred in numerous movies. Marion enjoyed collecting Shirley Temple dolls and plates, and also had an extensive collection of refrigerator magnets from all over the world. Loving her grandchildren was the icing on her cake of life, especially her youngest great-grandson, Indie.
Marion also enjoyed visiting longtime friends, Loraine Foerst and Rosemarie Casal. She became friends with both of them while growing up in Chicago, and they continued to keep in touch and visit throughout the years.
Marion is preceded in death by her late husband, Richard Hubenet. Surviving is her son, Paul Hubenet and his wife Joanie, daughters, Susie Hubenet, Pamela Ramos and her husband Robert, Lynda Hausmann and her husband Scott, and; her brother, Paul David, Jr. as well as four grandchildren, Christina, Timothy, Melissa, and Luke, along with one great-grandchild, Indigo, who goes by "Indie". Marion will be tremendously missed by all who loved her.
