

Marjorie Douglas Ivey passed away on March 8, 2017 at the age of 95 years old. She resided in Hemet, CA and is survived by her second husband of 48 years, Fred L. Ivey; son, John Wilson; daughter, Jeanne Wilson; granddaughter Laura Earick; grandson Terry Dashnaw great granddaughter, Kristie Earick, and great granddaughter, Ashley Earick. She is preceded by her great granddaughter, Jennifer Dashnaw. As a grandmother, Marjorie loved her grandchildren and great grandchildren dearly. Marjorie and her granddaughter, Laura, were close and devoted to one another. Marjorie was born and raised in Independence, Missouri. She had 3 siblings, Helen Groff, Marie Able, and Charles Douglas whom she loved, loved to visit, talk and laugh with, and tease. Marjorie met her first husband John Wilson SR. at a dance in 1940 and married him June 14, 1941. They were married until November 2, 1960, when he passed away. She went to work for SDG&E, where she worked as an accountant. Marjorie was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She also enjoyed volunteering at Valle Vista Assembly of God Church as a greeter and a gracious host, hosting and preparing delicious dinners for the new comer dinners, which were held in her home. Marjorie has always been strong in her Christian faith throughout her entire life. Her favorite scripture is as follows; " I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me."
