Marjorie was born on January 24th, 1923 in Benton, Ill. When Marjorie was a little girl, the family moved to Gadsden, Al. where she remained for the rest of her life until 2011, when she moved to California to be with her son, and close to her family.
Marjorie enjoyed playing cards and
bingo, right up until the end. In Gadsden she enjoyed going to the Senior Center to play Bingo and cards with other seniors,. Marjorie also crocheted some beautiful things, such as afghans, baby clothes, doilies and numerous other beautiful things.
Marjorie is preceded in death by her son, Leon Pierce, and her three brothers, Noel Cheatham, Clifford Cheatham and Elbert Hughes.
She is survived, and will be deeply missed, by her sons Patrick Abbarno of San Jacinto, CA and David Grayson of Spanish Fort, AL, and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
