

Marvin Edwin Dencklau, 96 of Hemet, California passed away on Tuesday, September 20, 2016, at Desert Hills Memory Care in Hemet, California . He was born Wednesday, July 14, 1920 in Fort Dodge, Iowa. He was the son of the late Albert and Clara (Koester) Dencklau. He served as a Tech 4 in the Army from 1942 until 1945. He was a Veteran of World War II. During his younger years he was an Automotive Technician for over 11 years. He was a very good handyman and could fix anything. His family describes him well by saying , " Give him a brick and he will build a house " During his retirement years he cared for is grand kids and great grand children. He treated them very special and every holiday there was some special gift to celebrate and share. He loved walking with his granddaughters every day. Marvin also had a green thumb and cared for his yard as an expert gardener. He shared all his skills to his grand children so they were well rounded. Surviving is his son, Larry Dencklau and wife Monica, daughter, Keri McClure and her husband Roger, 4 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren..
The family will receive friends from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM on Monday, October 3, 2016, at Miller-Jones Hemet Mortuary, 1501 W Florida Ave , Hemet, California.
A Funeral service will be at 11:01 AM on Monday at Riverside National Cemetery located at 22495 Van Buren Boulevard Riverside, California 92518. Interment will be in Riverside National Cemetery, Riverside, CA.
