Born Sunday, January 11, 1925 in Riverton, Washington, he was the son of the late Erick Olson and the late Ester (Peterson) Olson. He was the husband of the late Nelda (O'Guin) Olson.
Marvin served in the U.S. Navy and was a veteran of World War II. He owned his own house painting and carpentry business for 30 years. He and his wife enjoyed travelling across the U.S. in their RV, and he loved swimming in the ocean.
He was a beloved brother, father, uncle, grandfather, great grandfather and a dedicated husband. His grandkids affectionately called him “poppy.”
Surviving are grandchildren, Ryan Robles, Rachel Halko and great grandchildren, Mckenzie Verdugo, Jaxon Halko and Cheyenne Halko.
A graveside service will be at 10:00 AM on Thursday, March 5, 2020 at Rose Hills Memorial Park located at 3888 Workman Mill Rd. Whittier, California, where he will be laid to rest next to his wife, Nelda.
