Mary Theresa Maramba (Beridon), known always as "Theresa," was the only child of Albert and Florence (Bezart) Beridon. She was born on September 18, 1917 near Alexandria, Louisiana and moved with her parents to California as a child. She completed her Catholic education at St. Lawrence Elementary, then excelled at Jordan High School in Los Angeles where she was the yearbook editor. After high school she worked at the library, which nurtured her lifelong love of books.
>
> In 1943, Theresa married her true love, Daniel "Danny" Maramba. Initially, Theresa had been hesitant to wed Danny, who was serving in the US Navy at the time. Because of her hesitation, the beautiful engagement ring set that Danny had selected for her sank to the bottom of the ocean, along with the ship on which he was stationed when Pearl Harbor was attacked on December 7, 1941. But Danny swam to safety, and ultimately into Theresa's heart.
>
> Theresa, Danny and her parents lived together in Los Angeles and their loving family grew. They were proud of their five children: David, Ramon, Maria, Marianne and Linda. In the early 1970's, the family moved to Perris, California to a house her father had started to build. Although her parents and husband passed away within a span of five years, Theresa stood strong as a loving and supportive parent. In time, she became a proud grandmother of Jason, Jessica, Danny, Joe, Travis, Dylan, Aaron and Jordan. She also was blessed with three great grandchildren who lived near her, Elizabeth, Ayden and Mayson.
>
> Theresa's family enjoyed her culinary talents. She was an extraordinary baker and cook. She was a talented seamstress, who also crocheted and embroidered. She was an avid reader and was an expert at solving challenging crossword puzzles. She loved to travel, and happily spent time in far flung locations throughout North America and Great Britain.
>
> Theresa was a loving, shy, independent woman with deep religious conviction. She was a model for all in her kindness and selflessness. She lived alone in her home in Moreno Valley until the age of 99, when a fall and broken pelvis changed things. Her daughter, Maria ("Sandy") immediately went to live with her, committing herself to caring for her mother with love and encouragement.
>
> A few days after Thanksgiving, Theresa wasn't feeling well. Our parish priest visited and administered the sacrament of The Anointing of the Sick. Soon thereafter, with her rosary in her hands, Theresa quietly transitioned to join her heavenly family.
Theresa is survived by her five children and their spouses, David (Laura), Ramon (Kathy), Maria, Marianne (Bob Oakes), and Linda (Steve McDaneld), her eight grandchildren, her three great-grandchildren and numerous other loving family members.
