Mary Jo Nicholson, age 71, of Lancaster, passed away Tuesday, January 4, 2011 at Hemet Valley Medical Center. Mary was born September 30, 1939 in Cincinnati, Ohio. She was the daughter of the late John Straub and the late Mary Straub. She was a statistician in the banking profession for 23 years. She lived in the Lancaster area for 30 years. She is survived by her loving husband of 35 years J.D. Nicholson; two daughters Kathy Kuoppala, Burbank, CA, Reina Hogan, Santa Clarita, CA; two sisters Lucy Fralix, Seal Beach, CA, Edna Straub, Orange, CA; four grandchildren Josh Smith, Emily Smith, Michael Hogan & Kaitlyn Huoppala. Arrangements are being handled by Miller-Jones Mortuary.
