Mary Rasmussen

Mary Rasmussen, age 92, of Hemet, CA, passed away Friday, May 13, 2011, at Emeritus in Hemet, CA. Mary was born January 11, 1919 in Santa Monica, California. She was the daughter of the late Charles Hanson and the late Mary Virginia (Kraus) Hanson. Mary lived in Chatsworth area, where she and her husband owned a restaurant, called The Cabin Cafe. She moved to Big Bear area in 1968 where she was a bookkeeper at Fred Ski Sports Store for about 12 years. Moved to Hemet in 1983 and enjoyed traveling, crossword puzzles, was a member of the Elks Lodge, Shriners Club, The Night Owls Dancing Club, and Sierra Dawn Rovers. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 60 years Walter Rasmussen. She is survived by her loving daughter Karen Marie Prior, & husband Pete Prior of Woodland, CA and one granddaughter Ginger Lee Prior. Arrangements are being handled by Miller-Jones Mortuary & Crematory Hemet, 1501 W. Florida Avenue, Hemet, CA. Interment will be private at Riverside National Cemetery, Riverside, CA. In lieu of flowers please remember Mary by making memorial contributions in her name to Ramona VNA Hospice, Cancer Society, and Ramona Animal Shelter.
