Mary T Spencer, 78 of Hemet, California passed away on Tuesday, April 23, 2019, at Victoria Gardens Residential in San Jacinto, California. She was born on Tuesday, August 13, 1940. Mary loved to spend her time fishing, going on walks and bargain hunting at garage sales. Other pursuits included cooking, gardening, reading and road trips. She was passionate about serving Jesus and others, so much so that her mid-forties she became a missionary using her culinary skills at a missionary base in Baja, Mexico. Mary is described as a fiercely independent woman who was talented, giving and loving. Her family was very important to her and she loved being with her children and grandchildren. She will be missed by those that knew her and loved her. Surviving are daughter, Linda Burnham ( Richard ); Albert Verhaar II; Vikki Ver Haar; Dianne Ver Haar; Mary Ver Haar-Pooler; Brother Harry Spencer; sisters Kathleen Murphy and Christina Kelly; 8 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. Services will be held in May on the 18th at 2:00pm, at the Hemet Christian Assembly Church.
