Matthew Gwinn Tait

Matthew Gwinn Tait was born Dec. 6, 1962 in Sacramento, California to Robert and Roberta Tait. He has two older siblings, Bernadette and Robert (Todd) and three younger siblings, Tim, Amy and Becky. In addition to these five siblings, he also has a half-brother John, and three step-siblings, Trevor, Brian, and Heather, the children of his step-mother Sharen Tait.

Matt lived in Hanford, Buena Park, La Mirada, and Fullerton as a youth and young adult. He graduated from La Mirada High School and the University of California, Riverside where he earned a Bachelor's Degree in English and Business. On December 19, 1987, Matthew married Andrea (Meketarian) and they have lived in Moreno Valley, CA since then. Matthew and Andrea have three children Christian, Sophie, and Helen.

After college, Matthew began a successful career in the insurance industry. He advanced quickly and gained the respect of his colleagues as a dedicated worker and a man with integrity. Many people in the insurance world knew of him and his excellent negotiating skills.

More than his job though, Matthew loved his family and spending time with them. He coached his son in baseball and he never missed a dance, piano, or vocal recital of his daughters. He loved taking his children to see the Boston Red Sox and loved taking his wife on vacations. Finally he enjoyed all sports, classic rock 'n roll, old T.V. shows, and going to church.

He will be truly missed by all who were blessed to know him.
