Just thinking of Big Matthew. A great memory… he was ironing his daughters little dress, she was 4yrs at that time (2004) I still miss my son-in-law.
He’d be proud his son Matthew Jr is Army intelligence in Italy. :heart::heart:

The loss hurts to this day. I expect to see him around the prison. He was always upbeat and smiling. Great guy to work with. My husband killed himself June, 2012 so I know how hard this first anniversary is. I suggest to spend time with each other and find comfort together. I spent my first anniversary alone and it was horrible. It is like he died all over again. I really encourage anyone affected by his death to attend Grief Share. It is sponsored by churches and it made all the difference for me. It does not take away the pain and heartache; but it does help so much in being able to have perspective. I still miss him everyday; but now when I think of my husband I am able to remember the good times. Ask yourself if you traded places with Matt; what would you want for him? How would you want him to live his life? I did that and it helped me to allow myself to be happy. It is never easy; but it is possible to continue.

As u already know, u are my favorite and yes, i do see why she fell so hard for u. U brat, u left us too soon;( I was still working on her, she did know her place was with u.. Just found out!! My heart goes out to the family!! Matt you were a great friend in high school we had many of fun nights!!! I know we just reconnected a couple of years ago and we couldn't get the timing right to see each other again but you were always in my thoughts!!! You meant a lot to me brother!!!! We will meet again someday!!!!

I was so saddened ,to hear about your death. I haven't seen you since you were a little boy. Time and life seems to pass us by, since our family has been so far apart. You are loved and will be missed.Your father, Phil was my first cousin, we were very close. My heart goes out to him, your mother and your children. So sad for this loss of your life. I worked with Matthew in ADSEG at SVSP. I am a psychologist at SVSP and always remember Matthew with a smiling face and a willing attitude to help out in any situation. I am so sorry for the loss of Matthew to his family, friends and colleagues. Please accept my deepest condolences.
