Maxine D. Hunt, 85, of Menifee, California passed away Thursday, May 3, 2012, at Rose Hill Cottage in Hemet, California. She was born March 16, 1927 in Electra, Texas. Being the oldest of 9 children, Maxine developed a strong sense of leadership for the family. Proud and independent, yet always loving and caring, she was always willing to help anyone in need. For nearly 40 years, Maxine was a member of Alcoholics Anonymous and was active in her church. She loved God and reading the bible.
She is survived by son Mathew Holland and wife Tadie of Tustin, daughter Teresa King and husband Steve of Rhome, Texas, granddaughter Jennifer Blackledge and husband Michael of Justin, Texas, brothers Clovis and Bill Hunt of Bakersfield, and sisters Shelly Ferguson and husband Clint of Apple Valley, Mary Williams and Gracie Bradshaw of Bakersfield. She was preceded in death by her mother, Tressie Mae Hunt, Brothers Marvin and Alton Hunt and Sister Glena Moseley.
