

Melvin Lowe 65, (known as "Skeeter" to a few) passed into the Lord's arms January 28, 2012. He was born March 10, 1946 in San Bernardino, CA. He lived in Bishop, San Fernando Valley and graduated from Chaffee High in Ontario, moving to Hemet in 1963.
After serving with the Army in Vietnam, he returned to the Valley in 1971. As the proud father of daughter Sheila, he moved his family to San Diego where he specialized in Heating and Air Conditioning. After his divorce in 1983, his employer returned him to the Inland Empire to supervise development in Riverside County and Las Vegas. He met his Soul-mate, Robin, in 1987 and they were married in 1989. He retired from the City of Hemet in 2011.
He is survived by his wife of 23 years, Robin Lowe; his daughter, Sheila (Russ) Delk; grandsons Christian and Conner Davis; stepson, Gordon (Christina) Gilchrist; grand daughter, Emma and grandson Enzo. He also leaves brother John (Janet) Owens, sisters, Sherry Dunham and Susan (Rudy) Mars, and wonderful nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother Mabel Owens Mansfield and brother Robert and his first wife Cathy Wolters.
Memorial contribution may be made in honor of Mel to The First Presbyterian Church, and to the Ramona Bowl Amphitheatre.
