Michael Scott Daniels 37 recently returned to San Jacinto, California after living in Virginia with his parents for a brief period. He had returned to San Jacinto to establish a life with Liana Schaefermeyer and her son Rylie, and passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, March 27, 2019, in San Jacinto, California.
He was born on Wednesday, November 4, 1981 in Apple Valley, California, to his mother, Esperanza Molly Wilson and late father, Richard A. Daniels, Jr.
Michael entered the world face up and it was an indicator of how he would live his life. He was an outgoing, hilarious, fun-loving person who was always in a joyful mood despite having surgeries in the double digits, and two more in the horizon. He loved to help people, had a soft spot for the underdog, and would always lend a hand whenever he could, despite his physical limitations, and pain. Michael had a sharp wit, on occasion a sarcastic tongue, but he was always fun to be around.
He had a passion for photography. Michael studied photography at Brooks Institute of Photography in Santa Barbara, California, and was an excellent photographer. He enjoyed taking photos of nature, food & beautiful women. To his credit, he found beauty in all women, whether it was their outward or inward beauty, and enjoyed capturing both on film. He also loved knowledge, loved to read, and he would often listen to audio books. He recently shared with his mother that he enjoyed them so much, because among his happiest childhood memories was the sound of her voice lulling him to sleep as she read bedtime stories to him and his sisters. He was a caring and giving person who loved all children, and he passed on his love of books to many of his friends’ children whom he taught to read.
Michael had eclectic taste in music and the arts, and loved to share his favorite new artist with those around him. He also loved the outdoors, the ocean and beaches, and camping and hanging out with friends and family. He was a source of strength and support to his stepmother Celeste Daniels after his father's passing and could often be found checking in on various extended family members, maintaining and strengthening his family ties.
In high school, Michael was very athletic, but loved playing football. After graduating, he volunteered to serve his country so he could take care of his young family, and proudly served in the U.S. Navy from 2000-2003. Michael was much loved by many and will be greatly missed.
