Michael John Mason

Michael John Mason, 62 of San Jacinto, California passed away on Monday, February 6, 2017. He was born on Friday, September 3, 1954 in Elmhurst, Illinois to Ronald and Sylvia Mason. Michael is survived by his devoted wife, Terri Mason, five sisters, Pam Travino, Cindy Totten, Sheri Bleau, Teri Novcaski, and Lindy Walls, one brother, Robert Pegram, and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Michael was preceded in death by his father, Ronald.

Michael was a loving, caring and giving man. He served our country honorably in the US Navy in the 1970s. After leaving the Navy, Michael was the Owner and CEO of Four Slide Engineering for 40 years.

He was a Charter Member of the Moreno Valley Elks Lodge, and was Elk of The Year 1998-1999. Also a Lifetime member of the VFW and American Legion.

Michael gave freely of this time to BBQ for fishing events and activities with all the organizations and his family. Boating, fishing and water skiing was also a passion he had. He loved to travel with his wife, Terri, in their RV which included 2 cross country trips.

Michael was dearly loved and will be deeply missed by everyone who had the honor of knowing him.

A graveside service will be held at Riverside National Cemetery on Monday, February 27, 2017 at 11:00AM. A Celebration of Life will be held at the San Jacinto/Hemet VFW following the graveside service. In lieu of flowers, the family would like donations to be made to San Jacinto/Hemet VFW Post 2266 or Moreno Valley VFW Post 8547 or American Legion Post 574 or Post 848.
