Michael Duane Smith

Michael Duane Smith, 80 of San Jacinto, California passed away on Friday, September 13, 2019, at home surrounded by family. He was married to the love of his life, Joyce Smith for over 62 years. Michael was born on Thursday, June 8, 1939, and was the son of the late John and Katherine Smith. Michael had a special skill as a Journeyman Plater setting letters in big presses for printing. He loved using his creative talents and working with his hands making ceramics and many wood products including clocks. Michael was a very giving person of his time and expertise. He always was available for his family and friends when they needed a hand. Michael had a special eye to see what was needed and then provide the skill and support to get a project complete. Michael and Joyce enjoyed taking trips visiting family and friends across the US. Michael was very faithful to God and his commitment to his church. He will be missed by all that knew and loved him. He is survived by his wife Joyce Smith; son John Smith ( Kathy ); daughter Carol Ramirez; sister Judy Robbins; 7 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. A memorial service will be at Hope of the Valley Baptist Church 1480 N Kirby St, Hemet, Saturday, September 21st at 11:00AM
