

Mildred Price was born in Gilmer Texas on December 15, 1926. The daughter of Booker T. Price and Ella Derrick Price of Gilmer. She was a woman of courage and strength who had unprecedented zeal and tenacity in all her endeavors. She graduated Bruce High School in Gilmer Texas in 1944 and went on to attend Wilberforce College in Ohio from 1944 to 1946. Mildred moved to Dallas Texas at age 21 and relocated to Perris, California in 1968 where she worked as a supervisor for the Visiting Nursing Association and the County of Riverside.
She was a member of the National Council of Negro Women, NAACP and Eastern Stars, in both Texas and California.
She was a Christian woman and raised her two daughters to reflect those same values. She attended Bethany Baptist Church in Dallas Texas and Good Hope Missionary Baptist Church in Perris California. She enjoyed playing and watching golf and was blessed to travel around the world visiting over twenty Countries.
She is survived by her two daughters Jacquelyne Ann Cooper and Gina Sue Tatum; nephews John and Eric Jordan, Aubrey C. Avery .One sister Robbie Sue Jordan and four brothers, Conard Avery, Milton, Lavoy and Booker T. Price Jr. preceded her in death.
She will be truly missed and eternally loved by her family and friends. May the Lord welcome her into his kingdom with open arms and tell her "Well done my good and faithful servant" Amen.
