Mitchell Rudy Omar Valentine, born January 14, 1942, in San Antonia, Texas, passed away on Monday, May 25,2020, in Hemet, California. He was 78 years old. He lived much of his life in Athens, Louisiana and surrounding areas. He retired and moved to Hemet in 2009.
In his early life, "Omar",as he was called, traveled extensively all over the country in various jobs. He played the guitar and sang country music. He enjoyed flying and got his pilot's license so he could take his family with him on trips. Omar helped set up a large number of country music venues around the area, and sang with various groups. In his last job, as Director of Economic Development, in Arcadia, Louisiana , he assisted the mayor in various endeavors to help the town, and was spot on with the charities. Omar is survived by his wife, Lynnette, his brother, David, 2 sons, Mitch and Monty, daughter, Candy, 5 step-children, 6 grandchildren, and 10 great- grandchildren. His favorite charities were St. Jude and Salvation Army.. Services will be private in Hemet.
