Norman was born in Salt Lake City, Utah to parents LeRoy Burr and Florence Eugenia Bergstrom on December 11, 1922. He served proudly in the U.S. Navy for a 4 year term. Later on, Norman became a mail carrier for the postal service for 20 years.
Norman was an active member in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Norman served in the temple for many years. He enjoyed building houses and loved wood-working. Norman took great pride in his lawn, which was undoubtedly the best on the block.
Family trips were an annual event in the Burr household. Norman loved to take his family on outings around the U.S. and he liked camping. Also, once a month, Norm would take his kids with him while he restocked vending machines around the Southern California area. Of course, the kids would sneak a few candy bars during the trip.
Norman Burr was a spiritual man, a storyteller, a teacher, family-oriented, and strong-willed. His memory will forever be cherished by his friends and family.
