Born 10 July 1936 in El Paso, Tx ...and raised in Chino, Ca
Active member of La Iglesia Metodista Libre de Chino CA and graduated from Chino High School in 1954
Met a young Pastor...Aminadab M. Torres and dated
He shared his dream of returning to Mexico to preach the Word of God
...but was worried if she could handle such change of life.
My mother replied...
“if God sends you to Mexico, even if we live under a tree,...I will follow you!”
They married in 1960
...and she kept her word in 1971!
And that's how
the Story of the Missionary of the Crossroads started
12 preaching points and 2 churches established
My mother was strong and resilient...missionary life fit her perfectly
She supported my Father and even took up preaching when my Father fell ill.
She loved cooking and doing crossword puzzles,
and you would almost always find her with pen and paper doing the monthly budget.
She kept our family tight.
And survived cancer in the mission field.
1987
May parents return to California and assigned to La Iglesia Metodista Libre in Redlands Ca
My Mother was unstoppable, full of energy. Always by my Father's side serving our Lord and Family
Once again she survives Cancer... for the second time
1993
My parents become Pastors and caretakers of Perris Free Methodist Church and Camp
Though life wasn't easy there my Mother made it easy for the Family ...as she did in the mission field
The Last Milestone
my Mother, 74 and my Father, 78... become First Time Home Buyers!!
My mother,
an example of faith, support and resilience, of love and Caring
Who stood with my Father in sharing unconditionally
God's Love...their Love...and of all the Blessings they received from Heaven
For as much as you share
the more it will be given unto you
Now my Mother is in Heaven, with a glorified new body
Dancing in the streets of gold and Praising the Lord in Song
Until then, Mom
...wait for me
