Oleta was born on October 22, 1937, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, to William McCoy Vaughan and Reva Mae Vaughan. She was the ninth of eleven children.
She worked for a merchandising company, stocking products in local grocery stores, before dedicating herself full-time to caring for her home and family. Oleta was a life member of the Norco Lioness Club, where she served in many positions throughout the years. After moving to Hemet, she and her husband became actively involved in the Elks Club and enjoyed camping with their friends, the Ramona Rovers.
Oleta was a die-hard Angels fan who loved gardening and country music. She also enjoyed her ladies’ luncheons and Friday night card bingo. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family and friends.
Oleta is now reunited in Heaven with her beloved husband, Anthony Becher, where they are together once again.
She is survived by her blended family of eight children: Richard, Debbie (Ray), Rhonda, Teresa, Kathy (Sam), Mona (Ray), Tony Jr. (Michelle), and Susie (Richard); 12 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.
A loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Oleta will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who were blessed to know and love her.
Visitation will be held at Miller-Jones Mortuary & Crematory, 1501 W Florida Ave, Hemet, CA 92543, US, on October 22, 2026, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am, followed by a Celebration of Life at the same location on October 22, 2026, from 4:00 pm to 5:00 pm.
