Omar is survived by his devoted wife, Aura Hijleh, his son, Hilal (Gloria) Hijleh, daughters, Sarah (Anthony) Gardner and Reem (Israel) Harris, and one granddaughter, Leilani Hijleh.
Omar was a devoted family man. The well being of his family was always his number one priority. He believed in unity above all else. His family describes him as honest, loving and fun. There were also times when he could be very stubborn, as he didn't care much for anyone telling him what to do.
Omar enjoyed deep conversation, usually revolving around politics and religion. When he wasn't busy with his responsibilities of being the CEO of his own Automotive company, Omar enjoyed spending his leisure time gardening and working on home improvement projects. He also loved fixing up old cars, focusing more on the interior than the exterior, as his family recalls the old four door gray car with two red doors that he said looked just fine.
Omar was also an avid outdoorsman. He traveled the country with his family to some of our nation's most beautiful national parks. He loved camping and just being outside. However, he was not so fond of the ocean. He was overheard to say, "I'm a Mountain Man, a Snow Man, and a Desert Man, but I am NOT an Ocean Man."
Omar was dearly loved and will be deeply missed by everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.
