Peter "Pete" Felix Pangelinan Perez passed away on Christmas Day after a brief struggle with cancer. Pete was born in Agana, Guam, on December 12, 1937, to the late Joaquin Perez and Virginia Pangelinan Perez. He graduated from Father Duenas Memorial High School and entered the U.S. Air Force. After a long career of serving his country, Peter retired from the Air Force and started a second career with the U.S. Post Office. After his second retirement, Pete enjoyed his time fishing, bowling, visiting his favorite casinos, and spending time with family. He touched many lives with his humor and gentle spirit.
Pete is preceded in death by his brother, Ricardo Perez (Beatrice) and his sister Lydia Lizama (Jose). Pete is survived by his loving wife, Rosita Flores Perez; his children Peter Perez Jr. (Ann), Ken Perez (Bonnie), Tina Mansi, Dolores Cowlishaw (Darrel), Laura Ciochetto (Jon), Paul Perez (Cindi), Vic John Perez (Melissa), his stepchildren Barbara Crouse (Dana), Juanita Kolehmainen (Jared) and Cathy Donohue (Shawn); his 21 grandchildren, and 4 great-grandchildren. Pete is also survived by his sisters, Annie Cruz (Joaquin) and Dorothy Williams (Francisco) and many loving nieces and nephews.
Friends and family are invited to a visitation on Jan. 6, 2015, from 4:00pm-8:00pm at Miller-Jones Mortuary, 23618 Sunnymead Blvd, Moreno Valley. A funeral service will held on Jan. 7, 2015, 10:00am at St. Christopher Church, 25075 Cottonwood Avenue, Moreno Valley. Burial will follow at Riverside National Cemetery.
