Peter J. McNeil Jr., born December 2, 1944, in Massachusetts, passed away leaving behind a lifetime of love, laughter, and devotion to his family. He grew up alongside his three sisters, Margaret, Carol, and Denise, forming the close family bonds that remained important to him throughout his life.
Peter proudly served his country in the United States Air Force, carrying that same sense of dedication and responsibility into every aspect of his life. He was a hardworking provider who believed deeply in taking care of those he loved. Though strong and resilient, Peter also wore his heart openly, sharing his emotions freely and reminding those around him how deeply he cared.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Sandra, whom he cherished dearly. Together they built a family rooted in love and loyalty. Peter is survived by his daughters, Shannon and Kelli McNeil, who will forever carry forward his memory, humor, and unconditional love.
Peter found joy in life’s simple pleasures. He loved singing along to the oldies, enjoying a good chili size, relaxing with Hallmark movies, and savoring a glass of wine. Above all, he treasured time spent talking with the people he loved. No conversation with Peter ever ended without the words, “I love you” — a reflection of the warmth and affection he gave so freely.
He will be remembered for his sense of humor, his hardworking spirit, and the love he poured into his family every day. His presence will be deeply missed, but his voice, laughter, and loving words will remain in the hearts of all who knew him.
A Committal Service will be held at Riverside National Cemetery, 22495 Van Buren Boulevard, Riverside, CA 92518, US, on July 24, 2026, from 9:45 am to 10:15 am.
