Born Thursday, October 7, 1943 in Kenton, Arkansas she was the daughter of the late Lonely Crawford Gibbs.
Surviving are her loving husband Durwood Berry of 24 years, her sons, Greg Broome (Mary) and Norman Broome, brothers, Johnny Gibbs (Becky) and Ralph Gibbs (Carley), step-children, Chip Berry, Jorri Caldwell, Jim Berry, Jeff Berry, 2 grandchildren, and 11 step-grandchildren, and numerous great-grandchildren.
Phyllis loved working in her yard and decorating her home.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Monday, October 27, 2014, at McWane Family Funeral Home, 350 N. San Jacinto St., Hemet, California .
