Pilar Chagolla Tovar, age 103 of Perris, California entered eternal life on Thursday, May 22, 2014. Born Monday, October 10, 1910, he was the son of the late Jose Tovar and the late Juanita Chagolla Tovar.
He was a Veteran of World War II in the Army Air Forces. An 89 year resident of Riverside County, he was a member of St. James Catholic Church.
Surviving are son, Pilar Tovar, Jr.; daughters, Virginia Malta, Yolanda Tovar and Elsie; brother, Jess Tovar, sister, Natividad Aracon; 16 grandchildren; 33 great grandchildren and 18 great great grandchildren..
He was predeceased by his wife, Lillie Tovar; son, Ruben Tovar and daughter, Erlinda Tovar.
The family will receive relatives and friends from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM with a Rosary service at 7:00 PM on Monday, June 2nd at Miller-Jones Sun City chapel. A funeral mass will be at 9:00 AM on Tuesday, June 3rd at St. James Catholic Church, 260 W. 3rd St, Perris. Interment with military honors will be in Riverside National Cemetery.
