

Ralph Paul Weber, 75 of Canyon Lake, California died at home on Saturday, January 29, 2011. He was born Thursday, January 23, 1936 in San Francisco, California . He the son of the late Mathew Weber and the late Gladys Brabant Weber.
Paul is a graduate of the United States Military Academy at West Point, New York. He was a Lieutenant Colonel at the time of his retirement from the Army in 1979. He was a member of the pioneering team that developed the Global Positioning System (GPS) that has revolutionized both military command and control and innumerable aspects of civilian life. In the Fall of 2010 he was recognized among the "50 Heroes/Phase 1" for his involvement.
Paul was preceeded in death by daughter Kristin Eileen Weber in 1984.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Nancie Anderson Weber of Canyon Lake; 2 sons, Dennis David Weber and his wife Jami of Dallas, TX and Eric Matthew Weber and his wife Dawn of St. Cloud, FL; one brother, Mathew F. Weber and his wife Lee; six grandchildren, Haley Eileen Weber, Randall Paul Weber, Kristin Alexandra Weber, Madison Marilee Weber, Caroline Grace Weber and William James Benton Weber.
Interment and military honors will be in the United States Military Academy Cemetery at West Point, New York.
