Richard Wendell Hodson was born on November 2, 1932 in East St. Louis, Illinois to Mr. Howard Hodson and Mrs. Anna Strack. Dick as he was better known was an honored veteran of the Army, a caring husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. His love for life was palpable and contagious. Dick was energetic and always the life of the party. He was known for his great comebacks, golf swing and most of all, for the love he had for his family.
Dick passed away on June 29, 2014. He is preceded in death by his oldest son Ric Hodson and survived by adoring wife Dorothy "Dotty" Hodson, his loving daughter Pamela Bumer, and caring sons Gregory, Bob and Bill Hodson, 10 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. The memories and love Dick left for those who knew him, will always be treasured and held close to their hearts.
