Richard Smith, 73 of San Jacinto, California passed away on Thursday, July 19, 2012, at Hemet Valley Medical Center in Hemet, California . He was born Tuesday, December 15, 1938 in Orange, CA and was married to Alice Smith for 49 years.
Richard is survived by his son, Calvin Smith, daughter-in-law Debbie and his two grandsons Charles and Cordel Smith.
Richard worked for the City of Hemet for 28 years in the Water Department. Richard was a member of The Olive Branch Church and was active in the men's group. During his retirement years he enjoyed planting and producing his summer and winter vegetables. Richard always had a smile on his face and would acknowledge his friends with a nod. He had a special talent the family could not explain, he had a knack for finding things that were misplaced. His family describes him as simple to a fault, even and rarely angry. Richard was loved by his family and friends and will be missed by all.
