Mrs. Gagnon was born Rita Carmen Melancon in Grand-Mere, Quebec, Canada on February 1, 1928. She married Georges Gagnon, also of Grand-Mere, in 1957. He pre-deceased her in 2008.
Rita is survived by her daughter, Jenny Gagnon, son Jean-Paul Gagnon and his wife Leila Gagnon nee Clements. She has 4 grandchildren, Valerie Naginis, and Brielle, Nicolas, and Eric Gagnon. Rita is also survived by her sisters Monique, Gisele, Helene, and Louise; plus her brothers Gilles, Claude, and Real.
Mrs. Gagnon had a long career with San Jacinto Unified School District nutrition services. She enjoyed volunteer work, knitting, and world travel. She also greatly enjoyed spending time with her family.
