Robert "Bob" Harold Excell

Bob was born in East Liverpool, Ohio on November 27, 1943. He and his family came to California and settled in Norwalk in 1955. His parents, Robert "Bob" Sr. and Vera, are no longer with us. He has two brothers, Bruce Allen Excell of Washington State and Gregory Brian Excell of Texas, and their families.

Bob graduated Norwalk High in 1961. This is where he met and married the love of his life, Jacky June Simons. They would have celebrated 55 years of marriage on September 1st. They enjoyed the love and support of two children, Guy Wayne Excell and Shelley Lynn Excell-Wertman. These two children went on to marry Nancy and Curtis and give birth to two awesome grandsons, Nicholas Guy Excell and Zachary Kai Noa Wertman.

In the early years Bob worked for Market Basket, Fruehauf, and in 1968 moved to Hemet, California where he joined the workforce of GTE. Bob retired from GTE in 1992, and made his dream to own his own security company a reality when "Excell Security Systems" was born.

Since his passing we have learned that Bob did much more than just install alarms. He sincerely wanted to provide a safe and secure place for people to work, visit and live in.

Bob was our "Hero" and his dreams became our realities.
