Robert L. Hauck, 96, passed away on February 28, 2018 in Menifee. He was born to William Hauck and Inabelle Case in Dayton, Ohio. Robert served honorably in the Army Air Corps in World War II and returned home to marry Onda. They were a happy couple and Bob loved and supported Onda throughout their 52 years together. When the family was young, they moved to the west coast where Bob worked as a tool and die maker, and at a variety of other jobs until he found in his place in the airplane manufacturing industry. He worked at McDonald Douglas until he retired at 57. He lived in Bullhead City for a while, returning to Menifee when Onda became ill.
Bob had a great sense of humor and loved to laugh. He was dedicated to studying his weekly horse race form and then betting on the winners, and he was a competitive heart player. He and Onda enjoyed traveling around the United States, seeing relatives and friends, and viewing this beautiful country. Bob was a man who loved his wife and his family and remained faithful to God, spending considerable time reading about his faith. He was appreciative of his long life but was ready to go to the next life when God called him. Bob felt he was blessed by his family and by what he called "a rich and rewarding life."
Preceded in death by Onda and his daughter-in-law Faith, his two brothers, Charles and James, and his sister Cynthia, Bob leaves behind a loving family, Kenneth (Jane), Mary (Stephen), Patricia (Thomas), Bonnie, David (Debbie), and 22 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild. We will miss our Dad's strong spirit, his hearty laugh, his teasing heart and his testimony to his faith.
