Robert Eugene Rideout

Robert E. Rideout passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 22, 2011 in Sun City, California. He was born December 13, 1928 in Detroit, Michigan to the late Albert and Mable Rideout. Bob was an electrician and owned Orchard Lighting Store in Michigan during his life-time. Bob always enjoyed a good game of golf with his friends. He was a member of the North Course and Cherry Hills Course here in Sun City. He also enjoyed hunting and traveling, there were many trips back to his home state of Michigan, where he still has family. Bob was always there to help others, be it a hand for an electrical job in a home or a ride to the store.

Bob was preceded in death by his wife Dorothy, two sisters and one brother, his mother and father and two great grandchildren. He is survived by his wife of 15 years, Kay; his children, Linda (Don)Braun, Shirley (Edward) Wald, Larry (Jennie) Rideout, Ken Rideout, Paula (Steve) Kadella, two step children, Craig Paeper and Jodi Paeper; a brother, Kenneth (Sandra) Rideout; eleven grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren with two more on the way.

At Bob's request, there will be no services. He would like everyone to celebrate his life in their own way, perhaps with a good round of golf.

Kendal was Bob's great granddaughter who passed away last January from Leukemia.
