

Born Monday, October 15, 1928 in Quincy, Massachusetts, he was the son of the late Arthur Shea and the late Isabella Crowley. In 1952, he married his wife, Ruth Shea, and they remained happily married for 65 years.
Robert graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics from Boston College in 1952 and was a passionate, lifelong BC fan. He especially enjoyed watching BC hockey and football games, and always knew which BC players made it to the pros. Later, received an MBA from Cal State Fullerton in 1969.
As a young man, he worked as an usher at the iconic Fenway Park from 1939-1952 when Ted Williams played for the Boston Red Sox and Robert passionately followed his career and life.
Robert spent 18 years as an engineer in the Aerospace industry. He was also the Dean of the Business School at Pacific State University for 24 years.
In his free time, Robert loved backpacking and fishing in the eastern Sierra Mountains with his family and friends, earning him the nickname "Sierra Shea." He also enjoyed officiating pole vaulting events and did so for 35 years.
He will be remembered as a family man and loyal friend.
Surviving Robert are his wife, Ruth Shea; his sons Robert Shea, Jr., Stephen Shea (Tracy) and David Shea (Cynthia); his daughters, Lisa Feiler and Louise Camp (Jeffrey); his grandchildren Anthony Ryan, Maxwell, Emma, Hailey and Lily; his great grandchildren Caleb and Audrey.
