Passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 17, 2019 in Sun City, California; he was born on June 26, 1926 in Akron, Ohio to the late Wenzel and Daisy (Windish) Sokol.
Robert served his country in the US Army during WWII. He retired from the Long Beach Unified School District. He enjoyed collecting trains and was a member of the United Methodist Church of Sun City.
He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Virginia.
There will be a graveside service with military honors on Thursday, September 5, 2019 at 11:15am, staging area #2 at Riverside National Cemetery.
