

Rosa Marie French was born October 7, 1951 in Litter River, Alabama to the Late Issac French Sr. and Lula French. In her transition from earth, back to Our Creator was at the age of 69 on October 4, 2021. “Marie” as family and friends would call her; spent most of her youth in Little River where she attended grade School, and graduated from Baldwin County High School in 1970.
Yearning for new life, she followed her older siblings to California. While in California, she attended College in Los Angeles, studying Journalism, found a job working for the Herold Examiner Newspaper. During this time Marie met and befriended Richard Farris, with this union she had two children Son Brandon Bernard, daughter, Britney Farris.
After her retirement with Herald Examiner Marie became a foster parent in Los Angeles for the love of Children. Marie moved to Moreno Valley where she transferred to family Health and Support Network until retired in 2011. During the time of Fostering in Los Angeles Marie cared for an eleven-month-old baby girl named Grace. Marie fell in love with Grace and adopted Grace French at the age of 6 years old.
Marie was a very Christian woman that loved the Lord, always preaching the word to her loved ones and others. Loved watching gospel events and listening to gospel music. Marie attended Highlife Church in Redlands, California with Pastor Michael Herring. Marie lived a beautiful life with her sisters, children, grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Some of Marie qualities we will remember and miss her warm spirit, love for the Lord, honesty, reliable, and open spirit to others in need. Rosa French was wonderful mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend.
Rosa is survived by her son Brandon Bernard, daughter Brittney Farris, Graceana French, 7 grandchildren; Admyre Booker, Brandon Bernard, Zaryah Bernard, Nassiah Smith, Jordan Bernard, Jayda Bernard, Zyla Amber Marie Bernard, two brothers; Alfred French, Cleophus French, two sisters; Shermanita French, Shirley French, two sisters-in-law; Mary D French, Marlene French a host of nieces and nephews, cousins, and friends.
