Rosemarie M Hamilton 89, passed away on Monday, February 8, 2021. Born January 1, 1932 in St. Louis, MO to Thomas G. Adinolfi and Dorothea Doolittle Adinolfi where her Father was in Medical School. Rosemarie grew up in Schenectady, NY and during her life lived in England, Japan, St. Petersburg, FL, Upper Montclair, NJ, Saratoga Springs, NY, Little Falls, NJ, Palm Springs, CA and Hemet, CA.
Rosemarie was a proud graduate of Holy Names Academy in Albany NY and of Russell Sage College, Troy, NY where she received her Bachelor’s degree. She married Francis G. Halturewicz Jr in 1953 and had four children Sharon, Francis Thomas, Dorothea Lyn and Marie. After the untimely death of her USAF pilot husband she remarried Howard H (Guy) Hamilton in 1972 and moved her family to New Jersey. In New Jersey Rosemarie was involved in Real Estate and Secretary/Treasurer of ESi USA, Inc. an international educational marketing business. She and Guy loved to travel and were together able to visit scores of countries including Greece, Turkey, Russia, India, China, Japan, Australia and New Zealand as well most European countries. She was always athletic, enjoying basketball when young and continuing with her love of swimming and tennis throughout her life; she also enjoyed, played and taught mahjong and bridge. She was known as an excellent cook, hosting many family and social dinners.
Rosemarie was predeceased by her father and mother, by her step-mother Loretta Hayes Adinolfi and her brother Thomas (Tom) Adinolfi. She is survived by her husband of 49 years, Howard (Guy) Hamilton; her sisters Charlene Adinolfi Green, Toni Adinolfi Cooper and sister-in-law Karen Halturewicz Bessette (Vic); her children Sharon Cozzini, Francis (Tom) Halturewicz (Deborah), Dorothea Lyn Rudary (Tom) and Marie Boyark. She is survived by 7 grandchildren Christopher Boyark, Melanie Cormier (James), Stanley Boyark Jr, Stephanie Brooks (Zack), Francis (Frank) Rudary (Stacie), Benjamin Rudary (Zia) and Joshua Smith; and by 3 great-grandchildren Brianna Boyard, Kynlie and Kensie Rudary.
Due to Covid, a funeral mass at St Mary’s, Glen Falls NY and final interment at Holy Redeemer Cemetery, Schenectady NY will be held at a later date.
The family requests memorial contributions in Rosemarie’s memory to The Scholarship Board at The Village Retirement Center, Scholarship Board Treasurer C-413, 2200 W Acacia Ave, Hemet, NJ 92545.
