

He was born Wednesday, April 29, 1942 in Douglas, Arizona, to the late Anselmo Altamirano and the late Josephine Encinas. After graduating high school, Ruben joined the military where he served six dedicated years in the Air Force. After his honorable dishcharge he worked at a steel mill in Az. Ruben moved to Californijna shortly thereafter where he met the love of his life, Grace Chmielewski and married her in 1975. They shared many loving years together raising their nine children. Ruben spent forty-one dedicated years working for Don Brandel Plumbing as a Warehouse supervisor. He was a happy, fun loving and easy going kind of man. As a sports fanatic he cheered on the Rams, Dodgers and Lakers. Ruben loved his ice cream, going to the casinos and most of all he loved the time he shared with his family.
He is proceeded in death by his wife, Grace, son, Josh Altamirano, Armando Altamirano and leaves behind sons, Alfonso Altamirano, Stan Rossa, Mike Rossa, daughters, Terra Borges, Kendee Sutherland, Jazmine Altamirano, Jennifer Altamirano, brother, Hector Altamirano, and 15 beautiful grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM on Wednesday, November 6, 2019, at Miller-Jones Sun City Chapel, 26770 Murrieta Road, Sun City, California.
A Funeral service will be on Wednesday, November 6, 2019 at 5:00 PM at Miller-Jones Sun City Chapel located at 26770 Murrieta Road Sun City, California 92586. Interment will be on Thursday, November 7, 2019 at 11:31 AM at Riverside National Cemetery, Riverside, CA.
