Ruth Green was born on June 17th, 1931 to Rolan and Elva Prentice, she entered into eternal life June 21st 2011. She was the 6th of 7 children, her twin brother being the 7th. She worked as a legal secretary for many years & became a real estate agent in her 40's. She was married to Carmen Montello for 22 years until his death in 1992. Then, as God would have it, she met the love of her life, Jess Green with whom she married and shared 194 "Monthaversaries" as they called it. It was without a doubt, the best 16 years of her life.
In her retirement she loved serving the homeless and was involved in many ministries with Holy Spirit Catholic Church of Hemet. She also managed Old Mission Thrift & gift and volunteered at Valley Restart homeless shelter for many years. Together, she and Jess reached out to help hundreds of homeless people and minister to the sick. They loved to travel in their motor home to visit family and friends. Ruth will always be remembered for her tremendous ability to be a true friend to all those she touched with her loving & humorous spirit. We rejoice as she meets her Lord & savior.
Ruth is joining her "sweetie" Jess, who went to be with the Lord Oct 18th, 2010. She is predeceased by 3 sisters, Gladys, Marie & Yvonne and her brother Rolan (Bud). She is survived by 2 sisters, Marge & Helen, 7 children, Jeanette Arnquist (Cliff), Jan Rickard, Bill Montello (Chris), Frank Loomis (Rita), Ed Loomis, Roberta Geddes, and Peggy Martin (Merritt), 16 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren & 1 great great grandson.
