Ruth was born in Pennsylvania and was one of eight children born to John and Mary Moody. She moved to California in 1949 with her husband, Wayne. She resided in San Jacinto for 33 years. She was a homemaker and a member of Valle Vista Assembly of God.
She is survived by a son, Jeff, of Golden Valley, Az; two daughters, Joy Cheatham of Riverside and her husband, Marty, and Gaye Nodarse of Hemet and her husband, Sam; and one grandchild, Brynn Nodarse of Hemet. She is also survived by two sisters; June Short of Masontown, Pennsylvania and Jean Knepp of Farmington, Pennsylvania; four nephews, Tim Balint of Indio, California, David Balint of King of Prussia, Pennsylvania, Jerry Knepp of Somerset, Pennsylvania and Allan Knepp of Greensburg, Pennsylvania; four nieces, Bonnie Short of Deltona, Florida, Beverly Short of Masontown, Pennsylvania, Brenda Bunting of Concord, North Carolina and Susan Balint of Pennsylvania.
Internment will be private. Miller-Jones Mortuary is handling the arrangements.
