

Ryle G. "Johnny" Johnson, 98 years young, entered eternal rest on Thursday, February 11, 2016, in Hemet, CA. Ryle entered into this life on Thursday, January 3, 1918 in Holdrege, Nebraska, born to Martin and Ellen Johnson. Ryle had a more or less regular start in life but his life would be anything but regular.. After high school, he joined the U.S Navy and earned the rank of Chief Petty Officer (ADC). He fought in WWII and the Korean War. He was honorably discharged after 20 years of service, in 1954. Ryle met and married the love of his life, Eleanor Marie Nicholl Price & her son David in 1955. He was happily married to Eleanor for over 50 wonderful years until she passed away in 2008. After his service and marriage, Ryle continued work in the aerospace industry as an engineer for Convair in San Diego California. In the mid 1960's Ryle, Eleanor and David moved to Hemet CA where he would not fully retire, but would continue his life accomplishments. He opened and operated an upholstery shop for ten years. After its closure he & Eleanor traveled, managed 3 different mobile home parks and at one time sold Snap-On-Tools. He then decided to open a trophy shop. Upon the sale of this business it became Anady's trophies of Hemet CA. At that time he finally retired and concentrated on planning trips and traveling. His most recent travels took him to Washington DC on the Honor Flight, and New Orleans with Soaring Valor.
His family & friends continue to pay tribute to the wonderful husband, deeply devoted father & grandfather, brother & friend he was. A faithful deacon and elder of the Hemet First Presbyterian Church he brought those Christian values to his life and family.
Ryle was preceded in passing by his parents, Martin and Ellen Johnson, his sister, DeVona Anderson and his beloved wife, Eleanor.
He Leaves to cherish his memory, Brother - Waldo A. Johnson (102 years young), sister, LaDonna Horstman, son, David Johnson & wife Debbie, and two grandchildren, Lisa Menold (Bill) and Brian Johnson.
