I got an e-mail that said its been a year sam, I remember when we use to go down to second st in El Cajon with are trucks. (high school days)

Whenever all of us old IR and New Atlas Copco people get together we seem to always have a story or more that involve Sam. Always makes us smile and sad. Great guy, great worker and most of all great friend. Hope all are doing well.

I went to high school with sam and lived in alpine. Sam was a wonderful person. Rest in peace my friend.

I am sorry that I could not make it to the services. I enjoyed working with Sam at both Ingersoll-Rand and Atlas Copco. He was alway a surprise and looked at things differently, which in this business is not a bad thing. He will be missed..

Great Guy!
Sam was a great guy and truly a joy to work with. He was always quick witted and kept us laughing even in trying situations. I can't express enough how sorry I was to hear of his passing. He will be missed!

Do not know where to start when someone so young and full of life passes early. Sam was a great friend and you could always count on Sam for a good laugh. In the past years have not seen or talked with Sam enough as life gets in the way for all of us. When ever we did talk you always left the conversation or hung up the phone with a smile. One of the last times we spent time together was at CONEXPO in Vegas. During one of the packed tram rides back to motel between Ray Shelor and Sam the whole car was laughing and enjoying the ride. That is just how Sam was he always enjoyed the ride and made those around have as much fun.

Many of his friends in Arizona will not be able to make it to the funeral and wish we could be there to share stories with all and mostly to hug Kathy and Cindy and the girls. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and if you need anything please let us know.

Sam will be missed by all the stories will live forever!

Sam the boy I thought was larger than life.
I have many found memories of Sam growing up in our little corner of the San Diego's east county. He was forever the jokester, through and through. I had many, many, sleep-overs at the old ranch and you had to be on full Sam alert. It was never safe to enter a room or walk down the hall without wondering what was waiting around the corner and never, never, forget to look under the bed or in it to that matter. He always had to get a scream out of you, from taste this, to bugs and lizards. In the end we all ended up laughing till we were rolling on the ground.

He was my best-friend's OLDER brother, he was this much older boy who towered over us all, he was larger than life to me. Later as we grew older, I found out we weren't even a year apart, but I always looked up to him. He was a very hard worker, he was born with it, its completely 100% who he is. From watching him back in the day working on the Christmas trees, to the rabbit barn, to his first job, he was always working hard and teaching his younger brother the ropes of pranks and hard work. I am truly blessed and honored to have had him in my life and be part of my fondest childhood memories. You will forever be that older teen boy who just always seemed to be larger than life to me. I'll miss your smiles and jokes forever.

Sam the Prankster
What can I say about my brother Sam. He was funny, smart, caring and very protective. He was the biggest prankster you would ever want to meet and he enjoyed every moment of it. He loved to listen to me scream when I was a little kid, especially whenever he put a stink bug in my bed or played a joke on me. It is always fun to play jokes on your little sister you know. Everyone else in the family is probably deaf from my shrieking The funniest joke he ever played on me was in June of 2001, after my son's high school graduation party. It was 1:00 am, I was exhausted, I went to go to bed, pulled the covers back and saw my entire sheets were covered in salt, I busted up laughing. My friend that was staying with me did not see the humor in it, I said welcome to our family. Then my friend laughed. I was laughing because I knew there was more to come and I was baffled on when he had the time to put salt in my bed and no one saw him do it. My bed was made up perfectly! So I thought for a few moments about what else did Sam do, so I proceeded to the bathroom to turn on the shower and low and behold red food coloring started pouring out of the shower head. That backfired on him, I knew not to step in the shower before I turned it on. I then checked my toothpaste, yep he had stuffed Vick's vapor rub into the tube. Good thing I smelled it first. It took me 2 days to feel at ease in my home again, because I thought any moment a stink bug would be in one of my cupboards or something else would jump out at me. I got him back though, I went to his house a week later while he was having a party and shut the main water valve off to the house. It was fun watching him trying to figure out why there was no water coming into the house. He figured it out pretty quickly and then we both busted up laughing. I will really miss Sam and all the pranks he pulled on me and my sibling's He was a funny person. He was a great brother to go to if you needed advice, pretty much on anything. He was a hard worker and very dedicated. He was always looking out for me and others. Sam was quiet most of the time, but always thinking. Love you Sam and you will be missed.
