Sixto was born in Indang, Cavite, Philippines, on April 6, 1929. He joined the U.S. Navy, and served with honor and distinction for 20 years as a Disbursing Clerk Chief Petty Officer. He served during the Vietnam War aboard the USS Midway, USS Ranger, USS Coral Sea and USS Hancock. He was also assigned to the US Navy Recruiting Station Los Angeles.
For Sixto, family meant everything. He was kind and loving to his wife, Paz and their children, Jaime, Nestor, Elmer, and Linda. He is survived by his wife, 4 children, 12 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandsons.
