

Stan Boren took his final lap in life August 21, 2017 in Temecula, CA. He went through heart surgery, and was recovering really well. Three days into the recovery process complications arose and he passed away. He was 73.
Stan was born in Rock Springs, WY to Farren "Smoke" and Erma Eskridge on February 8, 1944. He attended schools in Green River, graduating in 1962.
In 1966, Stan joined the Air National Guard and was stationed in Cheyenne, WY. He served through 1976. In 1973, he moved to Casper, WY as a parts department manager for DJ's Mazda. While in Casper, he met Shirley Fink. They were married November 8, 1974 in Mills, WY. They lived in Casper until 1995 when they moved to Bakersfield, CA. After retiring from Vulcan Materials in 2012, they moved to Vista and then to Temecula.
Stan received a degree in Radiation Technology from Denver General Hospital and worked as a Rad Tech. Stan also was a mechanic, manager, business owner, model airplane enthusiast and an avid outdoorsman. If it had an engine, he was interested. Stan also spent many years studying and exploring Western history, especially the Outlaw Trail.
Stan is survived by his wife, Shirley, his daughters Sondra Boren, Vonda (Jacob) Folsom, his son Douglas Boren and grandson, Brody. He was preceded in death by his parents and his son, Michael Boren. Stan has extended family throughout southern Wyoming and Utah.
