Steven Ford Gehrke

Steven Ford Gehrke, 68 of Hemet, California passed away on Monday, February 27, 2017. He was born on Tuesday, January 18, 1949 in Santa Monica, California to Gloria Civitello- Monroe. He was later adopted by his father, Larry Gehrke. Steven is survived by his devoted wife, Catherine Gehrke, one son, Michael Gehrke, two sisters Gayle Gehrke and Cathy Nelle, one brother, Bill Gehrke, and many friends.

Steven had a huge heart. He loved helping people and was very loyal to his friends and family. Steven loved motorcycles. He was a service rep for Honda motorcycles for 31 years, and was also a motorcycle mechanic. From 1971 to 1973, Steven served our country honorably in the United States Navy, and served a tour in Morocco as a communications specialist.

In his spare time, Steven enjoyed being a member of the SoCal Flat Track Association, the Hemet RC Flying Club, and loved going to classic car shows. However, Stevens true passion was for his family and friends. Even though his job moved him around a lot, he always found time to devote to family gatherings.

Steven was dearly loved and will be deeply missed by everyone who had the honor of knowing him.
