Swanson Edward Campbell Sr. 82 of Homeland, California passed away on Tuesday, October 18, 2016, at Devonshire Care Center in Hemet, California. He was born on Tuesday, January 30, 1934 in Washington, District of Columbia and was the son of the late Swanson and Viola "Bryant" Campbell. Swanson, known to most as " Ed" enjoyed riding motorcycle with his friends and son. The freedom of the wind and open air gave him great joy. Ed also liked to watch NASCAR and bull riding when it was on TV. He also loved his animals. He enjoyed watching his grandchildren grow up and was very involved with them. His family describe him as loving, caring, a bit stubborn and family oriented. Surviving are son, Swanson E Campbell Jr, daughter, Sharon Hopfer, along with 8 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. Preceding in death was his wife of 67 years, Georgia Campbell and daughter Linda Fairbanks.
The family will receive friends from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM on Friday, October 28, 2016, at Miller-Jones Hemet Mortuary, 1501 W Florida Ave , Hemet, California .
