

Sylvia Louise Massey, 74, of Homeland.CA; October 27,1945-December 20, 2019 Born in Hemet, CA she was a long time resident of the valley. Lovingly known to all of her family and friends as MeMa. Sylvia had a great love for her family,friends,the beach,music,road trips and living every moment to the fullest, in the sunshine.She also enjoyed going to the casino and rooting for her favorite team the (San Diego) Chargers. She showed her love for cooking and kids by serving not only healthy but homemade food for over 32 years as the Food Service Director for the Romoland School District before her retirement in 2009. She is preceded in death by her parents Philip and Stella Van Note, her husband Donald Massey and her step son Michael Massey. Sylvia is survived by her brothers Neil “Duff” Beck and Craig Van Note. Sisters Diana Fisher and Gail Ingram. Her sons, Edward "Chip" Meade, Christopher Meade and Timothy Massey; Daughters Cara Meade and Brindi Shepard along with their spouses.. Step-sons Donald Massey and Robert Massey, her 26 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren. All of whom she loved with all of her heart; Her kids were her everything and she taught them all to love unconditionally, believe that everything happens for a reason and to have faith that "angels are watching over us always.”
Memorial services will be held on Saturday, February 15 at 1:00 PM at the Miller-Jones Mortuary 1501 West Florida, Hemet CA.
